Helene Bittencourt

Helena Bittencourt, born in Brazil, now tours the world with various artist troupes as an actress, acrobat and singer. Together with the theater company Ensaio Aberto she appeared in the musical comedy Café Havana under the direction of Fernando Lobo. She also worked together with the Mainicomics Theatre (Italy) on the production Gocce with staging by Mauro Mozzani. With Made in Canada she made a debut at the International Jazz Festival in Montreal and was invited to perform the same production for the Yilan Rain Festival in Taiwan. She was member of the ensemble for the piece Circus Klezmer (Barcelona) under the direction of Adrian Schwazner. Helena has been part of numerous other shows and productions, in particular Circ Ozo (Vic, Spanien), Einstein’s Dream with Troupe Intrepid, a staging by Claudio Baltar. She has also performed with the Ringling Brothers and the circus Barnum and Bailey. For Cirque du Soleil she appeared as actor, acrobat and singer in the show Corteo, directed by Daniele Finzi Pasca, with whom she is currently working on the piece Donka, a poetic mixture of circus art and theater. She works together with Goos Meeuwsen, with whom she has written multiple comic pieces, including Half hour to shine (Holland) and Crocodilo (Brasilien). At the moment the duo is working together with Daniele Finzi Pasca on his latest creation.
